There's more to Thackery than Becky Sharp. This Victorian like is near contemporaries Dickens and Wilkie Collins reminds us of how to write - a much-needed lesson in these dumbed-down days.

4.0 out of 5 stars Another piece of Delphi excellence 2 April 2013

Although there are several typos this edition brings together all the well known, as well as the lesser known, writings of this brilliant author. Superb value. As usual contributions to this organisation are well deserved. It would be good if each title could have its own start and finish separated from the overall structure of the offering but I suspect that this is more to do with the reader app than the published edition. My only wish would be that a more comprehensive account of the author was included.

A wonderful read- amazing insight into early 19th century society. Great characters, never boring, I love the variety of names used. Very witty and amusing , but at the time a serious theme of inequalities of life as it was then. My only criticism is that the illustrations are small and difficult to see, which is a pity.
