The Delphi Classics are, without doubt, the best collections of classic works on a Kindle that I have seen, and absolutely fantastic value for money. Even though the majority of the works included here are available in the public domain, the care that is put into formatting, and the extra value that is added with illustrations and appropriate companion works (biographies etc.) make the price that asked for them seem almost trivial by comparison.

This collection, in particular, is the first low priced collection I have seen that has included Finnegan's Wake, a novel that I have been meaning to attempt for some time now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Complete works of what I can remember 8 Dec. 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Any Kindle owner who has the memory free should take action and upload this collection. I have this on hardback, its really thick and green. The font is really good and reading from the stories and prose gives me great pleasure and confusion. From Ulysses to Finnegan's Wake. In the next ten years I hope to have a better understanding of this text.

Practically this book serves as vessel for understanding politics and the peacefulness of Irish. I am convinced that everything will work out well.

This is a good collection of Joyce's works, with illustrations. At the price, it would be hard to do better.

Unlike others, I have not found important missing pieces.. This us a useful adjunct to my bookfhrlf collrction. A,m now using younge daugters tablet for illuminated nightime reading. Am imprtessed by my Kinbdle's east transfer of tewxts to a bulkier versioon that suits my failing sight.,

3.0 out of 5 stars The Dead missing?! 1 Sept. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The Dead seems to be mssing from The Dubliners. I am no expert on Joyce but had read that this was the greatest short story in the English language. Why is it not here despite the blurb saying that it is his complete works?

I am a life-long James Joyce reader and enthusiast and couldn't imagine having a Kindle without him. Unfortunately, this collection makes my Kindle seize up even though it works perfectly on the computer. Even on the computer it is very clunky to negotiate but I'd put up with that. Looks as if I'll have to buy all the works again in a different edition.

I read Ulysses and that's enough for anyone. He might have been a genius, but frankly, life's too short.
