There have been many incomplete, often poorly formatted and difficult to navigate collections of Yeats's poetry in the Kindle store for some time. Now, at last, we have the real thing; all W.B. Yeats's poetry from his early beautiful, romantic lyricism to the magnificent and often sombre poems of his later years. The collection is well produced and it is easy to get to individual books or even to individual poems from the table of contents. For anyone who loves English (language) poetry this collection will be a 'must have'. Also included are Yeats's plays many of which he wrote for performance at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great volume, one of our finest poets. 23 Feb. 2013

This was the first Delphi collection I bought for Kindle, and I enjoyed it, but at the time did not realise just how good it was compared with the alternatives. A novel can get away with just a stream of text with chapter headings, but poetry needs so much more if you are to navigate the book, find poems etc. In contrast to all the other versions out there, this one has a contents list with links which work, alpha and chronological lists of poems with links which work, no typos that I can find. There are also bonus pieces, and beautifully selected pictures at appropriates places in the book. The poems start each one on its own page.
I am not going to review the content, Yeats is a great writer and needs no words from me. You can use this volume for serious study, or if you only want to get hold of a few poems, this is still great value. Keep it loaded, and dip into it whenever you have a few spare minutes. Wonderful stuff.
I hope you enjoy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unusually good formatting for Kindle 5 Sept. 2013

I don't think it's for the likes of me to comment on such classic poetry as this. You either like it or not (I love it), and I can't add any new insights to those that have already been written. However, what I can say is that the formatting for Kindle is excellent, making the book very easy to navigate. Usually with a book like this I would feel the need for a paper copy so as to be able to find my way around it quickly and easily, but not in this case. Well done, Delphi.

5.0 out of 5 stars my favourite poet all in one 2 Dec. 2012

What's not to like? Here you have all the poems and plays with an interactive index. So there's no scrolling through the pages to find what you're looking for. Well worth the money... in fact it would be cheap at twice the price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unbeatable 19 May 2013

Wonderful poetry as expected. I did find using this on a kindle more difficult as I wanted to dip in and out of it and getting to a particular poem was time consuming compared with a book

Student or reading for fun, this is a sorted-out and accurate edition for the Kindle. Reading on the Touch the photographs were clear, the poetry formatting easy to see and logical with correct line breaks and the plays also easy to understand. If it is the words which are important for your purchase go with this version. Excellent pricing, downloaded without problems. If you get any other version you gain nothing.
