5.0 out of 5 stars Almost perfect... 12 Feb. 2013

Another excellent collection from Delphi, indeed probably the best collected works of Tennyson available for Kindle, at least in this price range.

In many ways this is an exemplary and highly-recommended edition of Tennyson's complete works, very well formatted (although see below) easily navigable and with a number of interesting related texts included as well.

My only problem is with the formatting of In Memoriam, which isn't broken up into four-line stanzas as it should be. This is an integral feature of the work's structure and it's very difficult and distracting to read the stanzas in homogenised chunks as they appear here. I've tried several ways of arranging the text on the screen (different sizes and screen rotations etc) but to no avail.

Hopefully this will be corrected in later editions to render perfect what is already an almost-perfect edition!

EDIT 13/2/13: Since writing this review Delphi Classics have e-mailed me to say that they have uploaded a corrected version of the e-book, with the proper formatting for In Memoriam. They also included a free copy of the corrected version. Excellent customer service as ever - I'd advise those who've bought the old version to contact Amazon customer services to arrange a refund on the old edition, so that the new version can then be downloaded as a replacement.
