This fryer is absolutely fantastic, a revelation compared to the creaking ageing cylindrical fryer I had before.
Firstly, upon opening it one is immediately impressed by the size and look of it - stainless steel, almost industrial yet stylish in looks, oblong shaped - with an oblong shaped basket with handle. It looks very much like the type of fryer you get in kebab shops.
It looks superb and is well built, so just by picking it up I know it's quality and will last a long time!
It is quite bulky, and takes up more real estate than rounder cylindrical fryers.
So if you're like me and leave the oil in there for weeks on end, you'll need some worktop space to keep it.
Saying that, as mentioned, it's easy to clean so for smaller worktops or limited space - no problem.
Thermostat is located at the top rear with thermostat lights on the sort of control panel.
It has a heat resistant handle to open the tray and carry handles too. it is very VERY sturdy and well built, I cannot emphasise that enough as other fryers tend to be more gimmicky yet feeble.
Setting up is easy enough, its easy to assemble, and set up. It comes apart well and I presume to make it easy to clean, the basket, lid and bowl are removable and easily dealt with.
It has a thermostat (controllable with a black knob at the rear top of the fryer.
Frying is basically a simple thing, and so far have fried chips and breaded drumsticks and the results are what counts, and the results are FANTASTIC! No problems whatsoever!
It has 2 Litre capacity, so you can 'deep' fry as much as is possible in the home to give you crisp well cooked chicken and chips.
There were no bits floating around apart from the usual scraps which escape the basket mesh - but again, cleaning is a breeze.
The viewing window is a nice touch so you can actually see the browning of whatever it is you're frying - no need to keep opening the lid to check!
All in all, well built, attractive, easy to set up use and clean fryer which gives great results.
Is it worth it? I'd say YES - so far so good, so if you're on the look out for a fryer, this is very good!
