I received one of these as a Christmas present almost three years ago and it's still going strong. For the first 18 months I used tap water but now I only use filtered or bottled water with it (as I moved to a very hard water area and I'm not going to push my luck) and it's still working well. It's easy to use, easy to keep clean and has generally been a cracking little machine.

The only reason I gave it four stars rather than five is because the gap between the filter holder and the drip tray isn't really large enough to accommodate a normal sized mug so you either have to use a shorter cup or take the cover off and let the mug sit in the drip tray.

I was quite enthused when I first picked up this machine, slightly before Christmas. The first cups of espresso were magic! But, alas, about 2 months after purchase (actually, 4 days after the store warranty expired!) and the motor has crapped out. C'est la vie, and it's back to drip coffee for me.
