Great Delivery 30 Nov 2003
Format:Audio CD
I bought this album on the advice of a friend in Germany who boasted it was a lost cult classic. It's no longer lost but it is a classic. I can tell you, it lives up to the hype. For those who like me are recent converts to the band, you should seek this album out immediately. The reference points are top drawer REM, Byrds, Beach Boys and Psych - Country.
The first thing to grab you is the sheer tunefulness of the songs. Ungrateful, Patience, Brand New Car, Country Life and Still A Mother's Son are good enough to stand shoulder to shoulder with anything by any other band on the current music scene. There's a great little song that ends the album called New Day Dawning and it's one of those rare emotive moments like REM's Find The River from Automatic For The People where you have a lump in your throat as the sun goes down over the horizon
and all is well with the world. This is a magical album that's highly recommended.

Worth the wait. 20 Nov 2003
Format:Audio CD
This album quickly gained legend status after it's first release in 1999. Unfortunately, it was deleted when the band signed to Poptones and most of these songs have been unavailable for the last five years. It's a wonderful album and is possibly the most honest and beautiful of all the Cosmics albums. This band don't make bad records and this one is as good as anything they've done. Ungrateful and Patience recall the Byrds at their best, while Brand New Car sounds like REM, again, at their best. There's also some stunningly good acoustic music with Country Life, What's Your Sign?, Still A Mothers Son, Garden Of Eden and most beautiful of all, New Day Dawning, all with incredible melodies and moving, thoughtful lyrics. I've given it five stars mainly because it's my belief that it's as good as their other albums and they all deserve five stars. Now what about releasing Panorama again so we can get our hands on the five unavailable songs that didn't make the Enjoy The Melodic Sunshine album!

First of the Cosmics albums, this Gem has more passion and heart -wrenched drama per track than most artists achieve in a lifetime. The Cosmics Castlemilk background is at odds with the beauty and texture found here. I love this album - it puts many of the so-called "classic albums" by Dylan, The Stones, REM etc to shame. Play it like you mean you believe it, lads. Well done
