This is a series of outlines of various demonic cases Sarchie has worked.

It's interesting if you're into this kind of thing, and I am, but I have to say that I still found it a bit repetitive.

It's also a bit preachy in tone, anyone who isn't in my club is demon-fodder etc, equating other religions and practices with black magic, and in places it seemed a bit egotistical, with quite a bit of 'I am' going on.

I also found it contradictory in places. At one point he says that you would never film or publicize exorcism as it should remain a hidden thing, but he's written a book and filmed an exorcism. I saw it on Youtube. Then he says it would be better if everyone knew the devil was real, but you aren't allowed to show proof. And he makes a big deal about doing the Work for free but clearly sought to profit from the book and film...I don't know, some of it just didn't ring true.

And the opener-'One sentence jumped out at me- 'Harm will come to those below. Beware the night.'

That's two sentences, dude.

All that said, it's not a bad read but goes on a bit and not exactly cheerful!

Definitely worth a read and terrifying at the same time. I couldn't quite figure out if it was too much with him being Catholic and trying to put the beliefs acroos too much. As a Catholic myself I found it to be a little over bearing and at some points felt like the Devil is being rammed down my throat and the end of the world is near! To balance it out though I've not experienced the things he has and I think it's one of these situations that unless you experience it you can't comment. Do I believe in Demons and demonic possession, absolutely but it's not something I would actively seek out and I do believe that people in this line of work believe they are chosen, this is true because anyone in their right mind would pick an office job as a much more reasonable choice :) :)

The scariest book I've read. It's not meant to be entertainment but is written to tell truth using a style that will keep the reader not putting it down. I usually fall asleep reading books on my late night commute. This kept me awake and I will say I felt unsettled reading it, even on an empty train back home. I suggest reading by day. As for some silly comments posted about this book you may have read, well I guess people will like to slander the lives of those who 'demon bust', due to their lack of belief or knowledge. I've witnessed first hand paranormal and demonic activity manh years ago and currently in a bizarre case of my friend's own home which needs an exorcist. This NYPD seargent started his career assisting a famous exorcist on some serious cases I believe, due to legal requirements to have a strong assistant and witness incase something went wrong. If people must try and call a NYPD policeman despite his clean track record and thorough training in police work, simply because they don't wish to believe anything, then they aren't being scientific. As for living in the dark ages, well there's more occult satanic depravity in society now than ever before, what with the rise of accessibility to occult books and the spread of new age witchcraft books which are readily available online. Also there's been a falling away of morality and traditional belief in God. The problem is that you'd think with a rise in atheism and so on, people would need less and less catholic exorcists? Well on a graph of paranormal incidents versus the rate of the falling away from the church, we see that rather than go down, the incidents of people seeking exorcists for these paranormal occurrences, has gone up sharply. It's a directly proportional and exponential graph.Read more ›

The actual text is intriguing but the book is very difficult to read due to the text running almost right to the spine so you have to crack the book flat to see it all.
This is nothing more than very poor binding and I wonder if my copy is a second due to this fault, and shouldn't have been for sale.

Excellent book , well worth the read !! Tells you straight how it is battling the demonic and the price you pay for doing so. This book will make you question yourself and gives a good message. It shows you at times how easy it is to fall prey to these dark forces !!

Was very disappointed after waiting for three months to read this book.I was expecting it to be gripping and me not be able to put it down. Unfortunately just didn't do it for me.They always say the book is better than the film so I shall be giving that a miss too.
