Synopsis
Documented with over 2300 references, this monograph deals with all aspects of delirium. Clinical features, diagnosis, patho-physiology, etiology and treatment are discussed in detail, and the history of the disorder is detailed from the 5th century BC to the present. Delirium is a frequent complication of physical illness and its subsequent medical and surgical treatment in the elderly; thus, the book has much practical importance. An earlier version of this volume, "Delirium: Acute Brain Failure in Man" was published in 1980. This current version has been completely rewritten and updated.
