More About the Author

Belinda Williams is Cordon Bleu trained and has worked in food her whole life - from Downing Street, then privately around the world, ending up in her native Yorkshire, where she runs a catering company and heads up the Yorkshire Provender.

Brought up in the Yorkshire Dales, Belinda had her first catering business by the age of 12, and by 15 she had worked her way through the Cordon Bleu series, before going on to study cookery. At 18, she moved to London, cooking for the rich and famous. Her passion and grounded understanding of food meant she rapidly created her own private client base. Working all over the world, her culinary influences became established.

Returning to Yorkshire in 1989, Belinda and her Australian husband Terry established the renowned Yorkshire Party Company. In 2007 they saw a gap in the market for an honest, fresh soup and Yorkshire Provender was born. Belinda still runs the Yorkshire Party Company and spends much of her time designing new soups as the figure-head and co-director of Yorkshire Provender. Delicious Soups is her first book.

I bought this book for a work colleague but I going to have to get one for me! as I tried out one of the recipes and my husband loved it. The recipes look delicious! I regularly buy Belinda's soups and her catering company Yorkshire Party did my wedding so there is a personal connection. Really tempting pictures, easy instructions, interesting stories to accompany many of them - you get the feeling Belinda has lived/lives life to the full - soup is such a warming, healthy, feel good food - this is a great book to buy as a present or...for yourself!

A brilliant book, and does exactly what it says on the cover - helps you make Delicious Soups.

I've cooked so many of soups from this book, and the recipes are spot on every time. Most are quick and easy to make, and whilst classics such as leek and potato are included, it also covers more unusual combinations and ingredients.

I have many cookery books on my shelf at home, but I keep coming back to this one time and time again. I've recommended it to all my friends, and have bought quite a few extra copies to give away as Christmas presents. If you are after a book of soup recipes, then this is the only book you need.

The soups in here are interesting and different but not weird as some current soup recipes seem to be. I liked this book so much that I bought two more copies as presents for friends. I would really recommend it !
