Book Description

Dammit , just how many toes was she going to have to stomp on before people realized she was a Delicate Freakn' Flower?

Naomi doesn't want to follow tradition and settle down with a violence-loving, chest thumping shapeshifter. She grew up in a household with five, testosterone laden brothers where none of the dishes ever matched, the ugly-as-sin furniture could withstand any catastrophe, and where crazy glue was bought by the case.

When fate--with a snicker--makes her meet not one, but two mates, Naomi digs her heels in and refuses to do what her wolf--and her body--demands. No way is she voluntarily allowing herself to get hitched to a pair of dumbass--totally hot and muscled--lacrosse players.

Can Ethan, the towering Kodiak bear, and Javier, the sexy, tanned jaguar convince this she-wolf that life with them won't be all chaos? And can this Delicate Freakn' Flower unbend her prejudices enough to recognize she needs a pair of men who can handle her thorns--and her passion?

More About the Author

Hello, my name is Eve, a Canadian mom who works full time as an author. In between juggling my three kids, hubby, and housework, I pen steamy romance--usually with werewolves, cyborgs or aliens lol. I love to write, and while I don't always know what my mind is going to come up with next, I can promise it will be fun, probably humorous and most of all romantic, because I love a HEA.

Thanks so much for coming by and checking me out. If you'd like to know more, read some excerpts or find out what's coming next, then please visit me at http://www.EveLanglais.com

5.0 out of 5 stars Teddy Bears, Pussy Cats and Delicate Flowers! 12 July 2014
By Jenny
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is a new author for me despite her having a number of books out. I have to say that this is a great introduction. Shifters, check, a big rowdy family, check, two hunky shifter males, check, humour, check, ménage, big check.

The lead female in the story, Naomi, has a whole host of rowdy brothers leading her to come to the realisation that she wants a nice human husband. No way in hell does she want a shifter mate, besides she’s a delicate freakin’ flower and needs to be treated as such or else she’ll kick their asses (yup delicate my….). You can imagine her dismay when she clashes eyes with her mate at none other than at a violent shifter game of lacrosse, and to top it all he is one of the players.

May I point out at this point that Evan is nothing but a big teddy bear, literally. His best friend Javier, who also happens to be his best friend and a jaguar shifter accompanies him on his mission to win her over and horror of horrors, for both womaniser Javier and Naomi, discovers that he is also her mate!

Now I am not one for ménage stories, however, I’m not sure why, I liked this. There was a great mix of building the characters as well as the relationships before a ménage was thrown into the mix. Boy and what ménages they were, yup they! It is a great mix of sexy, who done it, humour and relationship making it a great paranormal read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kitty cat, the Bear and a delicate rose 8 Mar. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The first in the series, and Naomi is the only girl in a house full of brothers. determined to marry a nice quiet human male she is given a wake up call (literally via a lacrosse ball) A kodiak bear and lion both want her a their mate and she is adamant that is not going to happen, but with a little help from mommy dearest she falls for the giant and the pussy cat. Funny in parts and sexy in others, hot m/f/m action and a great book that all menage fans should read.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not for me 25 Oct. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I'm afraid this just isn't for me. There are several reasons for this.

The author's sense of humour did nothing for me, so unfortunately I didn't find it amusing. The "suspense" element of the plot (who's threatened the heroine?) felt tacked on and fairly obvious (you'll have no problem knowing immediately who's behind it).

But the biggest problem for me was the shift in tone about 80% of the way through, from flirty and arguing romance to an extended graphic menage sex scene - it goes on for 26 pages - filled with crude talk and porn-style acts. It was a bit off-putting.

For me, it was too porny to work as a romance (the menage element, double penetration (ouch!), and the dragged out sex). But many of those who prefer erotica may well find that it takes too long to get to the sex stuff. So it sort of feels like it starts off as one genre, and then turns into another.

Some people will undoubtedly enjoy this book - I'm guessing those who likes menage erotica but think "I wish they spent a _lot_ more time on the characters getting to know each other before the graphic stuff."

But I'm not one of them.

4.0 out of 5 stars had me stitches 5 Jun. 2013
By Hannie

Short and sweet, Eve langlais sure knows how to make you laugh. Her books are more filler than killer perfect for a lazy afternoon of sweetly erotic shifters and laughs a minuet. All three characters where wonderful all a bit flawed but that what makes them so lovable and talk about steamy, damn!!! if you haven't yet tried out her alien series you should its amazingly hot and funny!

3.0 out of 5 stars good for a laugh 17 May 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Delicate Freakn' Flower is just plain pulp. You can even tell from the sarcastic title that it isn't going to be anything serious. But if that's what you're looking for, it's all good. There isn't a lot to the plot, but not much is promised in the description either. You get what's on the cover in this one.

Naomi's character is a lot of fun. Don't get me wrong, she's a total bitch to almost everyone. But I rather enjoyed the fact that all of the men around her let her be that way, even liked her that way. It's one of my favourite fictional events when strong men allow a female complete control over them, or cower in the face of her fury. Of course they could stop it. Of course they are only allowing her the control, but I still always get a kick out of it. This book has that in spades. In fact, it's pretty much the crux of the plot.

On a side note, though subtle, I appreciated that Naomi isn't described as a twig. She has large breasts and a gently rounded tummy. That tummy is still worshiped by two hot guys. I really liked that she was described this way AND Langlais didn't make any sort of issue about it. Not once did she call herself fat or appear anything but comfortable in her own body. It was rendered normal by virtue of not worthy of further discussion. I may be reading more into it that was intended, but I thought it marvellous.

The beaus, Ethan and Javier were just as sexy as you would expect. I did have to wonder that their relationship wasn't explored more. The two of them did everything together even before discovering Naomi, including previous threesomes. They didn't even blink when they discovered they shared a mate and seemed to be in complete accord about everything. It's hard for me to not see them as a couple with or without Naomi.
