This DVD is a pared-down version of the lovely programmes shown before Christmas 2010. On TV, there was lovely festive music, lots of sparkle, and the whole thing was padded out by Terry Wogan supposedly on the radio in the background. It was a lovely way to start the lead-up to Christmas, and I decided to get it if it ever came out on DVD. What a miserable shock when I played this for the first time - it is the bare bones of the filming - just recipes - which you can get online or in one of her books (which I have). The whole point of getting this DVD was the lovely atmosphere they created on TV - cooking with carols and Christmassy music on in the background. Thought about complaining to the BBC.

This was a great DVD which of course is what you would expect from the Queen of the Kitchen, Delia Smith. It would have been great if it was longer but it still showed all you needed for wonderful Christmas meals. Cheers.

Great recipes as usual from Delia. Am a big fan. On a negative note, I was disappointed that she didn't give quantities on too many occasions. Unusual for Delia. Am sure I will find the recipes on the Internet so that I can get the missing info but I shouldn't have to do that after purchasing the DVD. Well done though. I forgive you.

Love it. Sit back with a nice cuppa and watch Delia. Even better if you have her happy christmas book, the recipes are in there. Can't fail with Delia.

Good old Delia recipes
Watched the dvd a couple of times first then picked out the recipes I wanted to follow. As usual, they all turned out to be wonderful. Good old Delia!

Misleading
Looking at this DVD and seeing "St Delia's" name on it, you'd think this was actually her 1996 series of half hour segments that focused on Christmas. Read more
