I have been a fan of nena for almost 20 years and although they never got the recognition they deserved in the uk i still have great memories of their music as a band.
This album is a must for all nena fans it captivates the youthful rawness of a band in it's prime going on a journey of self discovery and writing exciting imaginative lyrics together with the passionate voice of an angel in nena kerner.
My favourite songs surprisingly doesn't feature the commercial song which made a name for them.
I love the hypnotic tune "nurgetraumt" just dreamt and the brilliant "Irgend wie Irgend wo, Irgend wann" some how, some way somewhere.
I too like lighthouse "leuchtturm" and "manchmal ist ein tag" sometimes is a day, wunder gescheh'n wonderful thing.
If you don't speak any german it doesn't matter as her voice will melt your heart and captivate your spirit.
She is the female equivalent of bono.
I bought their first 3 albums and loved them, no internet in those days so i had to rely on buying them when i was abroad and listening to euro pop stations.

This album features all of Nena's hits from the past 20 or so years, and is a very good buy. It includes the massive hit, "99 Luftballoons"-the German version is far superior to the English translation. Other good songs are "Leuchtturm", "Rette Mich", and "?".

The album has an impressive 18 songs, the best being "Nur Getraumt", "?(Freizeichen)", "Treuchttrum", "Rette Ich", and of course "99 Luftballoons"!
Unfortunately a good few sound the same as each other, especially towards the end of the album.
I think she ruined "Irgendwie, Irgendwo, Irgendwann" by making it 7 mins 19 seconds long!

I like Nena Kerner, she's my favourite female 80s singer who sings the 1984 number, '99 luftballoons' as '99 Red Balloons'. a bit like Jennifer Rush actually.
