A great collection!

Seems the choice of songs for inclusion in this collection has some "Bread heads" upset, regardless this is a solid collection from one of the best soft rock/pop bands of the 70's! It includes all of their top 40 hits in addition to many cuts from their albums. Sure you can dicker about why it didn't include this song or that and there may be better Bread compilations available, but that doesn't mean this is a bad set! If you are just interested in their hits, then you would probably be more satisfied with "The Best of Bread" CD. However, if you want their hits plus samples of songs from their albums, this is a very good collection. "Retrospective" may be better (it also costs more), but that is no reason to trash this collection.

With over 5000 CDs in my collection all I can say to the so called Breadcrumbs is get over it stop the whining!
The recordings are remastered and very clean.
I paid six bucks for it .....great value!!
Maybe anybody below a three rating needs a new stereo.lol

The Same old Moldy Bread retro!!!

I totally agree with the other two raters!!! How many times are we going to get, virtually the same collection of songs over and over again. There have been three previous "Best of" or greatest hits collections of Bread. That doesn't even include the various imports and budget collections that have been released over the past 15 years. Yes, the sound quality is excellent on this compilation, but the sound is great on the retrospective from the mid-nineties, too! The sound is excellent on the "Best of Bread" from several years ago! I bought the first five individual Bread albums that Rhino released back in the early nineties, which are now out of print. ( At least "Bread", "On the Waters" and "Manna", seem to be.) They were excellent! Unfortunately, "Lost without your Love" from 1976 was neglected and the various Davd Gates solo albums have been only available as imports on and off throughout time. These records would be a much better alternative than rehashing the same old song collections over and over. If you don't have any Bread, than this would be a good place to start, but the Retrospective from the mid-nineties is more thorough and includes some key David Gates hits to boot! I am a huge Bread fan, but why repackage the same old tunes once again? The list price is outrageous, too! If this was the first ever collection of Bread, I'd be totally fired up, but I was so disappointed to see that there was only "ONE" new song to this anthology! Way to go Rhino!!
