Genius marketing idea of the box design. All four cd singles from def maybe, with all the extra cd single bonus tracks, in a suitable 20 Benson & Hedges Replica.

Back then, their B sides were better than the third album.

What I bought was just the box on nits own, no singles included. Looks like a B&H box and is used to keep your singles in. It comes with an info booklet about the singles themselves and an interview cd thats ok if not outstanding.

This is a must for any true Oasis fan - just buy it! YOU'LL LOVE IT!
They keep their value aswell - you can sell them for around £60 now-a-days, as long as they are in good condition! But anyone who does want to get rid of it is stupid - as its so good!

Cigarettes 'n' Oasis 18 Feb. 2005
By Daubas - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
This is a beautiful piece of promo for Oasis's first album Definitely Maybe (1994), one of the albums that made the 90's (at least in Europe)what they were: a refreshing period that proved that rock'n'roll was not dead.

The set is presented in a box of silver Benson & Hedges, the Gallagher brothers' favorite brand of cigarettes. This item is a collection of the singles released from the first album : Cigarettes 'n' alcohol, Supersonic, Live Forever, Rock'n'Roll Star plus a bonus CD featuring a collection of interviews given by the band throughout the world.

For any hardcore fan this is a real collector and a nice object as well.

The singles feature a bunch of great B-sides, and A-side lives. It is faithfull to the Oasis tradition that the B-sides (at least for the first 3 albums) were as good, and sometimes even better, than the A-sides they accompanied so don't hesitate, this is real good britpop and a nice trip down memory lane.

This collector was released alongside with another one, the collection of singles from (What's the story)Morning Glory? their hit album of 1995. This set is in a golden B&H pack and features a CD of interviews as well, nevertheless don't get too excited about it because the itw are the same in both the sets. The B-sides from Morning Glory? are even better than the ones for Definitely Maybe (at least it's my opinion). The singles are : Don't look back in anger, Wonderwall, Roll with it and Champagne Supernova. Great singles if ever there were any !

note for the Oasis part time fans: the most wonderfull single Whatever does not feature on any album, and although released at Christmas 1994 between DM and Morning Glory?, is not part of any of these sets.
Who CAN'T get enough of Oasis? 15 July 2003

If all of Oasis's studio albums plus the Masterplan were not enough, you must hear - no, BUY the Definitely Maybe box set. It's hard to believe most of these tracks were merely b-sides. Some of Oasis's most rocking songs are b-sides, and these are a perfect example. In particular, 'Alive,' 'Fade Away,' and 'I Am The Walrus' are Oasis songs on which Liam Gallagher's truly unique voice shines. Noel Gallagher's heartfelt vocal performances on 'Take Me Away' and 'D'yer Wanna Be A Spaceman' leave you wanting more from him. Sure enough, most of the songs from the Definitely Maybe era are not complicated, musical masterpieces - they are pure rock'n'roll. If you want some 10 minute, over-produced, artsy ballad, I suggest you find another band because that's just not Oasis. Rock'n'roll is what this band does best, and these 4 unforgettable singles are only the beginning of what was to come in the next 10 years.
