4.0 out of 5 stars Indispensable to clerics and paladin!, 30 April 2001
By A Customer
As a DM who runs D&D campains with some clerics and a few PC paladins, I liked this product. This book is divided in Four chapter and one appendix, each of them with its own interest:

-the first chapter gives you tips to play clerics and paladins, plus new rules for them (and it will be hard to choose betwen a large spider mount and a silver dragon mount for your paladin!) including new feats using channeling power (with those, vade retro can be used to boost yourself or your ally!)

-the second chapter gives you information on the running of churches in your campaigns and some ready to use church (with floor plans) and organizations.

-the third chapter is full of new prestige classes, so now, will your paladin becomes an holy liberator (chaotic good paladin-like) or a consecrated harrier (church bounty hunter)?

-the fourth chapter presents new spells for clerics, paladins, druids, rangers and even wizards, plus you get new domains exclusive to some prestige class.

-the appendix gives stats for the gods of monsters much like what appeared in the Player Handbook for human's gods (Bahamut and Tiamat come back!)

And if you liked Sword and Fist, this second book in the guidebook collection from Wizards of the Coast, is much better!

5.0 out of 5 stars If you like D+D, you'll love this!, 28 April 2001
By A Customer
To anyone who plays D+D, this may not be the rule book that you go and get. But for any one who has the slightest bit of intrest in dungeons and dragons, especially clerics and paladins (these are the classes that the book is based on) this is a must-have. It features dozens of prestige classes, new spells, feats, proficiencies and skills.

GO BUY THIS BOOK!!

OOOOh Yeah, this RAWKS!!!

To all those guys who are like, 'dungeons and dragons are for LOSERS!!' you think your clever huh, Sports Jocks? Well in 5 years im going to be earning thousand on the internet and your going to be trying to save your last brain cell that didnt get beat out of you on the forward line, and working in a House Factory.

D-and-D is TOO HOT, i love it whether i'm being Goldbeard the Dwarf or St.Phinyyeuus The Mage-Cleric, and you know what, its been around for years and will still be round when 'Football' is a distant memory- oh wait, you guys are too dumb to have a memory! LOL!

One of the age old question in d/and/d isofcourse,
"Whats the Dex on my Paladin, and which dice do i need to spike Grognorok the Trolgre in his one stinking EVIL EYE! YEAH! well now you know, and you will know everything about the World of Plainlands the home of all paladins, and the ABBEY of St. Clotios, the Holiest place in Borgswrold!

Good luck on the Paths to Axemound Castle, brave adventurer! Your gonna need it.
