Book Description

1 May 2012
Psychopaths are not human. Psychopaths will leave effusive and flattering comments on your social network page after you friend them. They will text you numerous times a day and call you on the phone just to hear your voice before they sleep. They continually quiz you about your sexual fantasies then enthusiastically promise to fulfil them all on the day you physically meet. Steadily and by degrees they build a comprehensive profile of you in order to create a blueprint for constructing a mirror-perfect soulmate persona and then, they claim you. They claim your heart, your energy, creativity, happiness, peace, sanity, strength and in some cases, all or most of your worldly goods. Then they begin to destroy you. Eternally hungry, forever empty, they never stop seeking the one thing that makes you human and the one thing they will always lack: your soul.

5.0 out of 5 stars defeated demons 9 Jun 2012
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Thomas Sheridan has done it again, after having read puzzling people and the great insights that it gave me I was ready for the next chapter. Defeated demons took me futher into the psychopathic control grid and has enlightened me leading to great understanding of what is affecting our lives and how are unconscious mind is being manipulated. What stands out to me is how he makes a very difficult subject an easy read for the general population, I for one thank him for that. I totally recommend this book and the profound insights that Thomas has obviously painstakingly researched over many years.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best book on psychopathy 4 Sep 2012
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I've read many books on psychopaths and I've learned a lot about them, however, Thomas Sheridan's book is the best I've ever read. He analyzes the psychopath's behaviors and traits in depth, including their brain workings in such a way that you can become an expert in spotting these people. Not only I learned about psychopaths but shortly after starting reading this book, I began to feel an internal shieft in my recovery process that marked a turning point in my life after the psychopath's aftermath impact on me. I began to see the light at the end of the tunnel and the understanding that I gained from this book sped up my recovery and bring me back to my normal self. I recommend it to all people who have been the target of a psychopath's machinations. You will regain your normal lives in no time after reading it.
Thank you Thomas for this treasure. You are literally saving many lives.

5.0 out of 5 stars No holds barred 23 Jun 2012
By Lemsip
I wouldn't rate this book as highly as 'Puzzling People' but nevertheless worth reading providing you read 'Puzzling People' first. There is useful information on brain anatomy and chemistry with respect to the comparison with psychopaths' brains with that of normal peoples' brains. I particularly liked the chapter 'Hell's Belles' as I have come across many women who would fit into the category of psychopath, narcissist and proto psychopath. Narcissism is growing amongst today's women as the psychopath led mainstream media is mostly targeted at them rather than men and messing with their minds. I was pleased to see that Thomas Sheridan had covered the Slut Walk and breast cancer 'awareness' movements and exposed both for what they really are; controlled opposition and pushed upon women in the guise of feminism when what the movement leaders are doing really is harming women.

I was disappointed though not to see an index at the back of the book and a list of chapters in the beginning of the book

4.0 out of 5 stars Raises as many questions as it answers 10 Dec 2013
By Bubo
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I came to know of Thomas Sheridan and his work on psychopathy via the alternative news website the Corbett Report. I was sufficiently impressed by his argument to invest in his three books. Defeated Demons, if nothing else, is a highly engrossing read which, despite the tragic subject matter, is occasionally funny in its no punches-pulled skepticism and jibes at the absurdities and manipulative calculations of much of what passes as modern culture.

And I have no doubt that psychopaths do genuinely exist, hard as it is to internalize and face up to that reality, even when one strongly suspects, as I do, to have been in contact with such "types". There are truly malignant predatory "humans" out there, who are well suited for positions of power and using others' energy, and this is a fact that has to be taken into account in any honest appraisal of human society at large.

The film "The Thing" illustrates the implications of Sheridan's argument fairly well since, according to his research, there is an emotion-mimicking, parasitic organism among the human population which, in the case of this well known sci-fi film, takes the form a malignant and hostile alien species that absorbs foreign organisms, including humans, and then mimics them to perfection, leading to the key exchange in the film:
"I don't know who to trust anymore"
"Trust is a hard thing to come by these days. Why don't you just trust in the Lord?"

...not knowing of course who in this exchange may be the parasitic, form-mimicking parasitic alien, if any.

To repeat, this is a highly engrossing read and much of it rings scarily true.

5.0 out of 5 stars Learn Self-Defence 13 Aug 2012

Excellent and gripping book.

I read the whole thing in a day. Couldn't put it down.

I feel fortunate not to have attracted the direct attention nor been drawn into close relationship with a psychopath. Some of the personal tales related are chilling indeed.

We get to understand the "psychopathic control grid" that grips our world in a banking/corporate feeding frenzy and perpetual war. This characterisation of degenerate leadership is accurate and preferable to (and less alienating than) "Illuminati", for instance. The string pullers need to be named and this term will do.

The nature of the collusion of our political and media representatives with their paymasters is exposed and described brilliantly. Worth the price of the book for this alone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hegemony of consciousness 9 April 2013
If you have a ever wondered how the few can control the many in society, then Defeated Demons is for you. In this excellent book, Thomas Sheridan takes the reader to a whole new level of understanding as to the psychopathic mindset of those in power, controlling every aspect of our lives for their own ends. Using the term psychopathic control grid, he takes us on a journey to show how psychopathic abuse at a personal level translates onto the world stage, skilfully explaining how psychopaths operate within all governments, major corporations, banking, and the media, indeed, at every level of society, in order to maintain their dominance and exploit the rest of us. Sheridan exposes how they aim to implement a global culture, to control human behaviour, benefitting only them, achieving this through the manipulation and programming of the human mind, a sort of hegemony of consciousness. Psychopaths, Sheridan maintains, are a parasitic organism and humanity is the host. The remedy to cleanse this infection, he contests, is to recognise that we are psychopathic mind slaves and to take back our sovereignty through non-compliance with the control system, to ultimately break the cycle and awaken to our true potential , so we get the spiritual and free society we so deserve. I highly recommend this well written, extremely informative book.
