Drixolate is a highly addictive drug used to enslave entire populations. Fail to buy your next fix and you die in a horrible way. But is this more than just interplanetary drug lords plying their trade? Tagg Raven is sure something even more sinister lurks behind the runners. But Raven must first solve the mystery of the strange deaths on Nyzon Five. Why are people dying? Is it the Troglonite beetles devouring people? Is it something supernatural? More About the Author

Hi, everyone. Nice to meet you all. I so appreciate the interest you have in my books and all the nice reviews. (The Songs of Angels isn't one of my books, by the way. That's another Gary Weston).
The "Craggy" books seem to be popular. Perhaps my British humour in them goes down well. When I think of Craggy, I see David Jason, Del Boy himself. I'd love to see him in a film version. David???
Starlight Army is set in the Midlands, and although fiction, is about real people. They do a lot of work for the P D S A and proceeds from that book go to that charity. More of a young adult sort of book.
A little about me. I am from the West Midlands of England, but now live in a small, rural town in New Zealand. I have my dog Minnie for company. If I hit a plot hole, I take her for a walkies and it sorts itself out.
I was never going to write science fiction, but having found space opera, I write a lot of it.
Other books, such as the Dusty Miller series, is set in New Zealand, so the places are as described. Same for One Man's Dream. The place Craig Rogers builds his home is real.
That's about it for now. Thank you for reading my books and I look forward to writing many more for you. Gary Weston

5.0 out of 5 stars Getting to grips with DSI 19 Jun. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Simple plot! Thank goodness! Excelent delivery , in clasic mettings of different races! Resolutions of conflicts, and amiccable resolutions of issues, what grips and entertaines is the 'speed' of the action, and good conclussions, a thouroughly good read, and no where near using black holes and time dilations to disgusting levels either!Thank goodness for straight forwards sci-fi at it's readable best!.Mr.T.

4.0 out of 5 stars DSI 4 May 2014

Despite numerous typos, the constant pairing off of characters and of course the admitted ignoring of the laws of physics, I had problems putting the book down.
Swashbuckling action from start to finish, very entertaining.

4.0 out of 5 stars I thouroughly enjoyed the many adventures one after the other with "BOSS" ... 20 Nov. 2014
By Neil - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I appreciate being able to read a complete storyline without worrying about if/which installments I missed, when the next book will be published, etc.. I thouroughly enjoyed the many adventures one after the other with "BOSS" evolving from a pure action figue agent through his trials/tribulations of becoming more responsible & mature with a growing domestic arena to intergalactic ploiceman. What surprised me was the bare-bones size of a unit with such an enormous "beat". I must assume that this agency was but an arm of a much larger defence force that had carried major military engagements beforehand. If not, it would denote that the "Galactic Council" represents no political maturity in that only a token peace keeping force was supported/funded by many planets. This situation was very likely the impetus to enemies that view such a state as "a plum for the picking" of either a known or unknown aggressor. They would play catch-up against a fully prepared & overwhelming force. History is forever repeated through political idiots that think they never need to be adequately prepared to defend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great 26 July 2014

This book is good as a stand alone but is even better if you read the Craggy series. Just don't expect the run of the mill space story.
