Featuring candid reflections then and now from Nick Simper, Ritchie Blackmore, Jon Lord, Ian Paice, Ian Gillan, David Coverdale, Glen Hughes and one of the very last interviews with the late Tommy Bolin to produce the definitive re-appraisal of the music of Deep Purple. This unique film draws on extensive rare footage of Deep Purple in performance from 1968 to 1974, and includes a 72 page book exploring Deep Purple. Rare footage of Deep Purple performing in front of cameras in Europe. Included here are the songs that propelled the band to greatness, alongside the earliest known recordings of the classic Mark II line-up of Blackmore, Lord, Paice, Gillan and Glover. This film includes breath-taking performances from Blackmore in his prime, as well as insider insights from band mates Glenn Hughes and Nicky Simper.
