Book Description

Jenna Hughes left Hollywood for a farm in Oregon to get away from fame. But someone has followed the former movie star - an obsessed fan whose letters are personal and deeply disturbing.

And while Jenna's already shaken up by what she's seen on paper, she'd be terrified if she knew what Sheriff Shane Carter is investigating. It's a shocking case that started with the discovery of a dead woman in the woods. Now two more women are missing, and one of them looks just like Jenna.

As a blizzard bears down on their small town, the merciless killer's grisly work has only just begun. Jenna is getting close to meeting her biggest fan - the one who wants to own her forever.

5.0 out of 5 stars Deep Freeze...... 3 Aug. 2005
Format:Mass Market Paperback
COLD, freezing cold she can't move she cant speak, she sees the man who took her and before she dies she wishes she could scream...
Jenna Hughes is a beautiful former Hollywood star. After a terrible accident, which took her sisters life and ruined her marriage. She leaves fame and fortune behind and moves to an isolated farm in Oregon with her two children. Little does she know though along with herself she has brought an obsessed fan. Jenna is also getting closer to meeting her biggest fan that wants to see her dead. Does her biggest fan have anything to do with the vicious killings?
What will happen when she meets him? Will she be able to scream? Will she feel the cold? Will she face death?...
I recommend this book to any Lisa Jackson fans. Even though it's about murders it also has romance combined in it. I love the way it's set out. This book pulls you in and makes you not want to leave. If you love either crime or romance this is a must read. I give 'Deep Freeze' By Lisa Jackson my thumbs up!!

3.0 out of 5 stars A good idea but just too long 29 April 2007
By molko VINE VOICE
Format:Paperback
This book has a great idea to follow, hollywood starlet, Jenna, has packed her bags and re-located to a sleepy oregon town along with her 2 daughters and her dog. But when she gets there the storm of the century hits the town, with sub-zero temperatures and a biting blizzard. Then the letters start appearing, the haunting 'fan' mail, promising that Jenna will soon be his, and Jenna has the sense of being followed and watched. Then the women of the town start to go missing.

I really enjoyed this book, although i sometimes found the parts with Carter tedious and would rather have focused more on Jenna and her family. The book was definately too long with far too much un-needed dialogue which involved the characters talking to themselves. The book is 500 pages and should have been at most 400. But if you have the time, try this book, you may enjoy it more than me, but make sure you have some free time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Good 2 July 2007
Format:Paperback
Again another great book by Lisa Jackson. I thought it would take me ages to read being 500 pages but I got through it fairly quick and like ever must've read the last 100 pages in one go.

It has the usual twist and turns which did not disappoint and the ending sets the scene for the next book Fatal Burn.

3.0 out of 5 stars GREAT READ BUT A TAD TOO LONG 8 Nov. 2011
Format:Mass Market Paperback|Verified Purchase
So Jenna is on the farm with the two daughters and having all the problems of a single mum and then the hero sheriff comes along and hates her right away (but loves her really) you get the picture, the book is good, with many twists and turns it runs along at a good pace but i wouldnt say page turner, a surprise at the end to find out who the killer was and i did go "oh him" but i wish i had been saying that about 60 pages before, a lot of padding at the end as it could have had a nice clean ending which i feel would have been better. Great book thought

Very good book. Full of action and twists. You cannot tell who is the murderer, until near the end. So many possible suspect's.
