"Deeksha: The Fire from Heaven" is the record of Kiara Windrider's journey from psychotherapist to enlightenment through receiving deekshas from Sri Bhagavan and Sri Amma in India's Golden City. With his wife Grace, he learns that enlightenment - or the experience of Oneness and the Divine, whether called Christ consciousness, or that experienced by Buddha or Ramana Maharshi - is not based on a teaching, morality or effort, but is a neuro-biological event. Bhagavan explains that over time humans have developed a membrane that separates their individuality from the collective consciousness. Deeksha, the transfer of enlightened energy from person to person, begins to puncture this "membrane" so that we can once again experience oneness and joyfulness. Now, Kiara and Grace, and thousands of others who have been trained to give deeksha and experienced enlightenment, are travelling the world and giving deeksha wherever they go.
