* Customer Reviews for A Dedication to Someone So Very Special
If you like romantic poetry, then this is for you. - Gerald Rhys-Williams
I think this title is so special because the author knows what dwells in my heart, it feels like she writes just for me and expresses the words that are locked inside it. The author is MY voice. - Stephana Brown
This has been a truly wonderful and delightful and passionate book of poems! It's a must for anyone to purchase and read;and add to their collection of books! Maggie has so eloquently written from her heart and soul;and has let the readers peer into her life and dreams!
All I can say is pick up a copy today!! Thanks! Daisy ps.I will be reading it again over and over in the days to come! - Daisy
Before I write my public review of your book of poetry let me speak just to you. I will read and reread this collection for the rest of my life. And should I fall in love again I will share it with her often. You have walked into dimly lit passages of my heart and soul and opened the windows. I have wept and sung with joy for I thought that I was alone in so many of these thoughts. You are fearless, your courage to share is inspirational. I am not putting you on a pedestal but enjoying sitting in the front row of your performance. Perhaps I will share this accolade. Love Win - Win Henderson
As I read these poems, I find that I often sit back and start reflecting on my own life.....it's like a magical journey into selfawareness, excellent book - Don
Simply beautifully written, full of emotion, to be read over and over again - Stephana Brown
If anyone wants to read a very Heartfelt and Warm book, this is the ONE!! Maggie touched my heat in so many different ways with this book. If I were to say there is one poem better than the other, I would be doing the whole book a disgrace. I am a fan of Maggie Brown's from the USA. Looking forward to more books from her! - Peter Brady

I am an Author/Writer & Poet. Excerpts of my work & books can be viewed on my Webpage. I have a wicked sense of humour lol so watch out! I also have a very sensitive side part of being a psychic/medium. I am a Professional Medium/Psychic (Astridestella is my professional name and associated with many of my sites and domains) and write vastly on my experiences, some of which are in my books and others I write about on my blogs and personal webpages. I need to be sensitive to be able to do this work, its a bit of a double edged sword though, I am an experienced senior Lecturer in Holistic Studies (I have a nursing background) Some of the subjects I am qualified to teach are: anatomy & physiology, massage, Reflexolgy, Aromatherapy,Indian Head Massage, Crystal therapy & lots of other therapies including Beauty therapy. And I am also an experienced Reiki master

My first Book "A DEDICATION TO SOMEONE SO VERY SPECIAL" published February 2008, was followed by "ONE YEAR" published March 2009, both are inspired poetry and explore all aspects of love, from the tentative beginnings to the deep longings and heartbreak when a relationship ends. My latest book is my first novel, "DIARY OF A LOVE AFFAIR", was released July 2009 and is a love story, a relationship online, very common these days with more people using the internet, however it has a spiritual/psychic twist and is the story of the experiences of a Medium falling in love and all the experiences common to psychic mediums. It is a sort of hybrid in that it contains some poetry and the deep meanings behind the verses and explains the depth of unconditional and spiritual love

Interests
Writing of course, poetry, spirituality, mediumship and psychic. I am a Spiritualist/Medium/Psychic

Sometimes

Sometimes what we want isn't what we need
Sometimes what we want is bad for us
Sometimes what we get we deserve
And sometimes what we need we dont want

Sometimes our dreams and hopes never happen
Sometimes we wonder why
Sometimes they are never meant to be
And sometimes they make us cry

Sometimes pain fills our hearts
Sometimes it hurts so bad
Sometimes we feel wounds will never heal
And sometimes this makes us feel oh so sad

Sometimes we ache to fly and run away
Sometimes we want to go to sleep
Sometimes to never wake from our dreams
And sometimes we ache just for someones arms

Sometimes what we thought we had
Sometimes we just never had or ever hoped would be
Sometimes I just cant see what is there for me
And sometimes...........................

'Soul's Song'

The sweet song my soul sings
Of love and emotion so true
Aches when I think of you
Each waking second that is past
Each moment spent feels like the last
And yet with quiet trepidation
I am flung into this whirlwind
Of doubt and hesitation
But would I go or try
To run, to escape, I think not
For love it gives both pain and pleasure
For all the sorrow that this brings
The joy is multiplied
For one sweet word said from you
Heals my soul and happiness it sings

MPB (c)

A bound heart

Love binds fast
Hopelessly tied
Unable to break the chain
Fate plays a cruel trick
My soul is bound

I cannot be freed
T'is a sweet pain
The ache is deep
And twists and turns
In my heart

MPB (c)

A DREAM

Caressing sweet kisses mesmerized by your gaze
Loving every lick of your tongue and all the ways
You express how you feel, with every tantalizing kiss
The passion in your soul, the unadulterated bliss
When you take me completely I die a hundred thousand times
Such an exquisite moment I just ache madly for this
Such a dream, such a fantasy, am I living in reality
The long trail of the road of hope is fraught
I have no option but to listen, as my heart was taught
The aching, the longing, the passion in my soul
I feel fit to burst with all I have to give,
Am I misreading what I'm seeing, if only to live
Through another day I can only do what I feel I should
But I'd sell my very soul if only I could
Just for five short minutes of that dream
