For some reason I expected 120+ pictures of real decks which would provide some useful ideas based on what other people had built. With the exception of a dozen pictures the rest of the book contains simple black and white drawings. There is nothing in this book that will inspire anyone trying to build an "Outstanding Deck".

Avoid. It includes very few of photo's but lot's of drawings. It doesn't really give you an impression that they are "outstanding", and doesn't give you the ability to build them. It does however provide an address (in the U.S.) for you to send more money for the plans that you thought you'd get by buying this book.

OK if you live in America and have a huge house and garden. Not particularly useful if you have an average UK property.
