I found myself reading this short story with a smile on my face. I never imagined that the psyche is commandeered by a crew much like the Enterprise, with a captain on the bridge, guiding you, the spaceship, through tricky social situations. This is a charming and very imaginative way at looking at those unseen processes clicking away in our heads as we make decisions. This story's smart, funny, and just very different.

A whimsical romance with just a dash of science fiction 4 April 2011
By Maia - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
This is a fun little story--it certainly brightened my day when I first read it. There is a certain degree of depth to it, but it's more of a humorous bit than serious literature. Good read if you are looking for something quick that will bring a smile to your face. The ending is quite original. You'll think it's some kind of sci-fi thing, but in the end, it's not really. It has a sci-fi flavor to it, but there's no complicated technology to wrap your head around. Just a whimsical view of human nature.

Decisions, Decisions 10 Aug 2011
By EA Younker - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
This story made me laugh. It wasn't what I was expecting since I know that Joe writes mainly space opera. To me this is an original idea executed brilliantly. I never thought about how much thought actually goes into having a conversation and what influences what we say and how we saw it.

What makes us tick 25 Sep 2011
By S. Warfield - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is the cutest and funniest story that adds a smile to the day. Ever wonder what makes us tick? The story of LZ1527 has it figured out, even down to matchmaking. This short story is very creative and original in thought and is well planned out. It's funny, cheerful, scientific in a fantastical way, and fantastical in a scientific way.

Hop aboard with the blinking screens, numbers, the Optical Reconnaissance, the captain and his technicians and see what happens to the Chris Murray and the Michelle Walker. See what the command codes are and what they mean.

This ia pure fun and enjoyment.
