Product Description

'As far as I know, no one's tried to kill me before'. Adam Haines claims he's visiting the home of famous artist Phillip Fairchild to relax and paint. In actuality, he has been sent to investigate the whereabouts of a stolen painting. Phillip is involved with the forgery and sale of famous works, and is currently planning the sale of the Rembrandt which Adam is seeking. Phillip's crimes are harmless, but it quickly becomes apparent that someone else is not. An attempt is made on the life of Kirby, Phillip's daughter. And what had been an exciting game becomes dangerously real.

Have read dozens of Nora Roberts and loved most of them. However, this is one of her earlier novels and I can't get into it somehow. Prefer her more heavyweight novels. Must check publication date next time.

Enjoyable for all Nora Roberts fans. Mystery and romance mix, and suspense with regard to motivation of main male character. Ideal for a quick read on a rainy afternoon.

Enjoyable 2 Oct 2010
Format:Paperback
I read this book many years ago, but lost my copy. So when I saw it on the Amazon website I had to have it. I really enjoyed the way the different characters related to each other, also the cat and dog story was really funny. Also the humour in the story was good. You can just imagine he characters saying the lines. This book is Nora Roberts at her best.
