Emma Tremayne has left her high-powered PR job and moved to the Lake District. She was expecting to find some much-needed peace and quiet, not to end up cavorting on a hillside with a naked guy. Emma thinks she's being community-minded when she agrees to help the local mountain rescue team put together a 'tasteful' nude calendar in order to fundraise for their new headquarters. Unfortunately, quite a lot of the community seems to mind what she's up to. Including the extremely handsome Mr July, Will, who appears to have got completely the wrong impression about Emma's intentions. So how does she convince him that he's more than just Flavour of the Month...?

About the Author

Phillipa Ashley read English Language and Literature at Wadham College, Oxford before working as a freelance copywriter and journalist. She lives in Staffordshire with her husband and daughter.

This may be a book to race through in an evening, but it will leave you feeling very satisfied! The two central characters are warm and engaging, each with their hidden scars and fear of being hurt again; the Lakeland settings are gorgeous, and the writing is consistently fast-paced and witty. A lovely cosy read for a chilly autumn night.

Having been sacked, because her boyfriend was doing the dirty with her boss, Emma Tremayne has moved north and vowed never, ever to get hurt by a man again. So volunteering to help the local Mountain Rescue team raise money with a nude calender probably wasn't the best idea!

I loved this book, the pace, the plot, the jokes - and the emotion too, watching Will and Emma (north and south on so many levels) slowly growing closer together...

A good book for the Tube, the beach, even a rainy holiday in the Lakes - one to read again and again!

Emma and Will - what can I say? I LOVED them (even Will at his meanest!) The characterisation, plot and imagery just whisk you away to Cumbria, to the fell sides and lakes and even Grasmere and Ambleside (surely the two strongest candidates for Bannerdale) at their busiest - it's a beautiful area made even more attractive by the love story that unfolds within teh pages of Decent Exposure. I really look forward to reading more of this author's work - if only her next book were out sooner!

Let's hope this isn't the end of Willa and Emma's story ;)
