Book Description

2 Oct 2006 Little Black Dress

When a nice girl asks twelve men to get naked, is it decent exposure or indecent exploitation?

Emma Tremayne has left her high-powered PR job and moved to the Lake District. She was expecting to find some much-needed peace and quiet, not to end up cavorting on a hillside with a naked guy. Emma thinks she's being community-minded when she agrees to help the local mountain rescue team put together a 'tasteful' nude calendar in order to fundraise for their new headquarters. Unfortunately, quite a lot of the community seems to mind what she's up to. Including the extremely handsome Mr July, Will, who appears to have got completely the wrong impression about Emma's intentions. So how does she convince him that he's more than just Flavour of the Month...?

Sassy, funny and smart, Decent Exposure is a gorgeous read from a sparkling new voice in romantic fiction.

5.0 out of 5 stars A lovely, escapist read 11 Oct 2006
By Monica
Format:Paperback
This may be a book to race through in an evening, but it will leave you feeling very satisfied! The two central characters are warm and engaging, each with their hidden scars and fear of being hurt again; the Lakeland settings are gorgeous, and the writing is consistently fast-paced and witty. A lovely cosy read for a chilly autumn night.

5.0 out of 5 stars A lovely, feel-good read 13 Oct 2006

I really enjoyed Decent Exposure - just the book to read in a single sitting as a delicious escape from Real Life. This romance is warm, witty, lively, clever, and a real page turner. A Lakeland Mountain Rescue Team is the perfect source for a brooding, tall, dark and handsome hero, who finds, loses and finds his feisty heroine in a most satisfying way. Phillipa Ashley has a great ear and eye for her characters, and wanting to know what happened to them kept me engaged. This is an accomplished romantic novel, and as such, strictly for pleasure! (Like cappuccino, Pinot Grigio Frizzante and Thornton's chocolates, reserve it for when you want a real treat.)

5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable read 12 Oct 2006
Format:Paperback
Having been sacked, because her boyfriend was doing the dirty with her boss, Emma Tremayne has moved north and vowed never, ever to get hurt by a man again. So volunteering to help the local Mountain Rescue team raise money with a nude calender probably wasn't the best idea!

I loved this book, the pace, the plot, the jokes - and the emotion too, watching Will and Emma (north and south on so many levels) slowly growing closer together...

A good book for the Tube, the beach, even a rainy holiday in the Lakes - one to read again and again!
