CD 18 Bonus CD (historical recordings)

This compilation contains a lot of great performances at a great price. But, many of Debussy's mot popular works were written for piano and orchestrated by others. Both version are equally valid but we get only one of each. Thus, Petite Suite, Children's Corner, and Suite Bergamasque appear only in their piano versions while Tarentelle Styrienne, La Boite a Joujoux, and Khamma appear only in their orchestrated versions. There are four CDs of songs in this collection; I would gladly give up a song CD for these missing works. Nonetheless, I certainly recommend this for everything that's right with this set.
