Deborah Dolen is a U.S. based author who has filmed and studied natural health care and formulations in the U.K., primarily staying in Downtown London on Gracechurch, near St. Paul's Cathedral. Deborah Dolen has penned 28 books, thousands of articles, and produced several films - always having a common nucleus of working with natural products. The author's passion for natural products and holistic health care is what lured her to the U.K., where she studied holistic medicine in SoHo (in Downtown London) and at Napier and Culpeper, as well as under Dr. Hauschka who is world renowned known for his Ayurvedic approach and techniques.
Author Deborah Dolen loves London so much, two of her twenty eight books are directly related to her studies in the U.K., one being the "London Apothecary" and the other being the "Beekeepers Digest."
The London Apothecary is basically full of formulas to make your own salves, healing liniments and balms. Deborah Dolen's book "The Beekepeers Digest" is more intensive containing formula's and techniques for everything having to do with bee by-products. Deborah Dolen is very passionate about bees and their status globally, to such a point, the Royal Beekeeper for the Queen sent her a five pound ingot of Royal Beeswax during one of her stays in London. The author says she loved the gift and was able to make a lot of balms and lotions with it for her family back in the states. "It looked like a gold brick-and with the crown seal on it, I did not want to use it for the longest time." The author commented. "I finally had too because everything has an expiry date. Even beeswax."
Deborah Dolen had penned Beekeeper's Digest, in part, because she could not make a 3 month commitment on a ship known as "Mercy Africa" - which was a volunteer position she waited ten years to be accepted for. The author was accepted to teach people in the 3rd world county how to make finished products with their raw bee materials. She would have attended with one of the most famous beekeepers in the world so it was very disheartening for her to not be able to fulfill the commitment. Just prior to the Mercy departure Deborah Dolen had caught pneumonia filming in Downtown London (where it was unusually snowing every day) and at the same time her dog Ringo was struck by a truck in the states, (he ended up recovering fine) so she had to return home to the states.
The Beekeepers Digest was Deborah Dolen's legacy to help any beekeeper globally understand the value of their raw materials and contains formulas to make high in demand finished products with those materials. The book is gifted to those beekeepers who cannot afford it.
Since 2011 Deborah Dolen's books are relatively exclusive to the Amazon Kindle program and her films fairly exclusive to Amazon in general. Deborah Dolen really enjoys the new Kindle Fire and has written many favorable reviews about it on international platforms.
