1.0 out of 5 stars A waste of time and money, 23 April 2008
By Rolf Lindgren "roffe" (Oslo, Norway) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
The authors ambitions are fine. The controversies that are presented are timeless as well as current, and discussed in lucid and clear language.

Unfortunately, the author uses the controversies between behaviourism and the cognitive approaches as examples through much of the book, but both sides are presented from the cognitive perspective, and the author quite obviously has no actual training in learning theory - so the book is full of mistakes, factual and otherwise.

Which is too bad. It would have been an excellent book if the author had known his stuff.
