14-year-old Donald Delpe has to face a number of trials the average teenager doesn't even have to think about, least of which is the cancer that's killing him. Rather than face this real and unpleasant world he delves into the imaginary world of superheroes and villains. Based on Anthony McCarten's 2005 novel of the same name.

What a wonderful find! Brilliant acting, compelling story, and great character yet developement. Sad but also hilarious in parts. I'm puzzled as to why it didn't receive more critical acclaim when it came out. Very thought provoking.

A really great film and Thomas Sangster is a seriously underrated actor. Why has no one ever heard of this film?
