Seems presumptuous to review 14 Nov 2001

DiV is one of my favourite books, and an acknowledged masterpiece. This has translations of facing pages, for the aid of those (like me) who would find the German a bit too tough on its own.
Rather difficult read 14 Feb 2012

Thomas Mann is not the easiest to read and i would only recommend begin reading his books when you have finished reading the other books in these series. I would start reading books by Hermann Hesse and the short stories first and then go on reading this one.
