I love to travel even more than I love reading mysteries, so I was happy to discover the Dotsy Lamb series of travel mysteries - and even happier that the first one was free on Kindle. This book didn't disappoint. Although I guessed most of the solution, it was an enjoyable read, the lead character is likeable, and there are nice little touches of Italian backdrop throughout.

This is a light, entertaining 'whodunit?', for those who enjoy solving a crime while indulging in a little armchair travel.

Readers can 'explore' some lovely Italian sites, while trying to identify the murderer of the 'Obnoxious Tourist'.

It makes for a pleasant bit of sunny escapism on a cold winter's evening ~ or it might be a good travel companion for one's summer holiday in Italy.

I had this as a kindle freebie and thought it's not my usual British village who dunnit...I'm not a fan of American mystery books, mainly because I like to relate to the area..so much prefer British. Having said that the author does a very good job on this multi tourist adventure murder mystery!
The characters are well written and it was a delight to read. I will try the other books in the series.
