Product Description

Light's latest machinations are putting a strain on even his formidable intellect as Near flies to Japan to beard Kira in his den. Near is sure that Light is Kira, but his sense of honour as L's heir will allow no doubts. He doesn't want to just stop the Kira murders, he wants to expose Light as the Death Note killer. Light thinks he's up to the challenge, but will the pressures of his fiancee, his new flame, and his acolyte prove to be fatal distractions?

5.0 out of 5 stars Final manoeuvring, 31 Jan 2009
By T. R. Alexander (East Anglia, UK) - See all my reviews
(TOP 500 REVIEWER)    (REAL NAME)
This penultimate volume of the Death Note manga sees both sides making their final moves in preparation for the next volumes climactic confrontation. However, the plans of both sides may still be derailed by the actions of some independent operators.

Death Note is definitely picking up as it approaches its finale with the various players all making their final plans. The series remains brilliantly written and plotted so that even at this stage of the story you should have little clue as to how the series will end. Death Note is definitely one of the best manga series that I have read.

5.0 out of 5 stars The final is coming!, 14 Dec 2008
So the penultimate (not counting volume 13 which is a bonus) volume of the hit and my personal choice manga Death Note!

Now with the battle with the Wammys house members and Kiras is starting to end Light must work out how he can win this battle. Wammys house must do the same.

I love this series with all of my geekdom and keep reading because if you got this far you should keep on going.
