Product Description

They do like to be beside the seaside.

With The Lazy Luncheonette under threat of redevelopment, Joe, Sheila and Brenda take time off for the STAC Easter outing to Blackpool, fun capital of the North of England. More About the Author

David Robinson is a Yorkshireman living on the outskirts of Manchester, northwest England, with his wife and a crazy Jack Russell Terrier named Joe (because he looks like a Joe).

David writes in several genres under different pseudonyms, but his mainstay is crime and mystery. In January 2012 Crooked Cat Publishing picked up the first of his popular Sanford 3rd Age Club Mysteries, The Filey Connection. Since then a further eleven STAC Mysteries have been published by Crooked Cat and more titles are planned for 2015.

He also produces darker, edgier thrillers, such as The Handshaker, The Deep Secret and Voices; titles which are aimed exclusively at an adult audience and which question our perceptions of reality.

In a more light-hearted mood again, he uses the sledgehammer humour of his alter-ego Flatcap, to reflect on the absurdities of the world at large. Four Flatcap volumes are currently available for download.

As at October 2014, he is working on the 13th STAC Mystery, working title, A Theatrical Murder, which will be set in Skegness (a British seaside resort) in January. He is also preparing for the launch of the second Spookies Mystery, The Man In Black, which is due out late November.

5.0 out of 5 stars Joe hit the mark agajn! 24 Mar 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is the 11th story of Joe Murray and his escapades, his 2 life long friends and co-workers. I think this is a great series of books. If you need to lose yourself in a good book do yourself a favour and read these stories. Start the beginning and you will be hooked. Every book is a stand alone story, but when read in order they are a joy and a delight. And there are many laugh out loud moments to. This one for me, was the confrontation between his friends and a nasty property developer. More and more please.....

5.0 out of 5 stars Great as always 19 July 2014

Brilliant as always, well done David, enjoyed it immensely. I have read all the STAC books and they have all been a good read.
I think I empathise with Joe as my wife says I am grumpy and don't like people, but like Joe I always there in an emergency, plus I can cook :)

Keep it up and await the next instalment

I like this series and must keep up with them. This is another murder hunt for Joe to think about but he also has a lot to keep him worried without the murder hunt. I can't say anymore as I would give it away but I can hardly wait for the next instalment.
