Heres a MUST BUY cd. Full of incredible rythms. From a new acid jazz to the funniest funky. So special. From the touch of the cover, you will understand what you're listening. Sometimes could sound like "i've just heard this somewhere", and for sure you will from now.

This record is simply great fun. Whether the delightfully cheesy,"Something Special," the groovily snappy,"Trashbox," or the sophisticated,"Heartfixer," this Nu-Jazz combo have more than a few tricks up their sleeve.
This was given to me by an ex-girlfriend and to my surprise I´m still listening to it a good five years later.
It´s extremely versatile, some of the tracks make me bop around the bedroom, other ones are more suitable for a sophisticated dinner party.
I like the arrangements. This band are clearly interested experimenting with electronic affects. The trombonist,(I can´t spell his name,) adds much of the jazzy element and steal. The standout performer is Pat Appleton with her sumptuous vocals.
If maybe a little too long this album has some interesting moments, reggae influenced "Jump Over," and the melancholic, "Love Labours Lost," are two examples of this.
Fun and infectious, this is for only the seriously coool listener.

Sounding in places like the 'Fantastic Plastic Machine' and the 'thievery corporation', 'Death by chocolate' certainly posesses the capacity to impress. Once in a while the music really shines, but beneath its quirky exterior: the superb artwork, the mixture of vocal styles and the samples, the music also occasionally sounds a little plain. Not a particularly damning critique of a lounge Jazz CD, it just seems to lack the sparkle of a real classic.
That said, this is a silk pajamas and martini of a record. Whilst they won't necessarily hassle you for a copy, your friends will certainly think that you're a very sophisticated kinda fella.
