About the Author

Derek Landy lives near Dublin. Before writing his children's story about a sharply-dressed skeleton detective, he wrote the screenplays for a zombie movie and a murderous horror film. "I think my career-guidance teacher is spinning in her grave," he says, "or she would be if she were dead."

I honestly don't know what Harper Collins were thinking when they lost Rupert Degas for whatever reason. Without him, these audiobooks are nothing. Steven Hogan's voice is so dreary the words just wash over me. I found myself repeatedly pressing the back button to try and take the book in. In the end I bought the book instead. This is a great series and I cannot understand why we've now had three narrators for six books. If I win the lottery, I'm going to pay Degas to sit on the end of my bed and read it to me.

My son has always had story books at bedtime and just loves these at the moment - you'd think he'd be scared wouldn't you! Thanks for a speedy delivery.

Every book in this series is a good read and this is no exception. Skulduggery and Val are a great team.
