Maeve Binchy's warmth of character, effervencent personality and down to earth practicality shine through in this wonderful collection. A heart-lifting read and a wonderful testament to her character. Rest in peace, Maeve.

I like Maeve's informal style and these articles are as entertaining as all her other work. It's not gripping stuff but then it's not meant to be and I am still reading a little at a time. It's quite thought-provoking at times and her slant on human nature is always worth a look.

As always, great observation and interest on the little things going on around her which made Maeve Binchy such a good storyteller.

This was rather different to the many books by the late great Maeve Binchy we have read, being not a work of fiction ( with which she excelled) but true stories about Maeve herself and her very interesting life. This is a facinating book and we all found it most enjoyable saddened by the knowledge that she is no longer creating her books.
