Nothing new but... 19 Jun 2011
Format:Paperback
I have a fussy 3 year old who has been so ever since weaning, so I am well versed in techniques for getting children to eat and there isn't much new for me in this book. What was very encouraging was the quotes from other parents talking about their fussy children. I found it heartening to know I wasn't alone and hearing their words about what works and what doesn't for their fussy children was helpful. It can feel very isolating when your child doesn't eat what is put in front of them, especially when all your friend's children do!

As a parent of a very fussy eater (pre-schooler) I am always reading up on the subject of how to encourage my son to eat more variety and reduce stress at mealtimes. I do think this book would be a good read for someone who has not read anything else on the subject. Personally for me, who has read everything you can read on this subject via the internet it didn't really tell me anything I hadn't already read or worked out for myself. I suppose it did give me some encouragement and perspective which is only a bonus but I don't think I will be adopting any radical new approach to mealtimes.

For stressed mums 12 Mar 2010
Format:Paperback
This is really useful for mums at the end of their tether. If you're a working mum and have very little time, getting your kids to eat can be a nightmare. This has been a godsend to providing tips and advice on how to get kids to eat well, and easily.
