THE REAL DEAL! Now, ALL the family can join in the fun with the fantastic new DEAL OR NO DEAL electronic hand held game.
Its part gameshow, part psychological thriller. Its a nail-biting, stomach-knotting test of nerves. Who can stay in the game down to the last two boxes? Who will succumb to the lure of the Bankers crafty offers? Whos got the bottle to go to the wire?
Its for you-hoo Watch everyone jump to the ceiling when, after five choices, the phone suddenly starts to ring . Yes, its the Banker. Hes ringing with his first cash offer, which is displayed on the telephones screen. Each player then has to answer the question DEAL OR NO DEAL? If the answer is no deal, the players carry on, right down to the final two boxes, just like in the TV show. By this time, no one will have any fingernails left to bite!
If youre a fan (and currently up to 4 million or more viewers tune in to Channel 4 every weekday - and Saturday evenings as well) youll know that every day 22 expectant contestants pair up with 22 sealed boxes, each containing a sum between 1p and the top prize of £250,000. Then one player is chosen he or she carefully selects one box at a time, to reveal and eliminate a cash prize until all but two are left. The tension mounts as the sums are struck off the scoreboard. The audience cheers when the smaller amounts go, and groans with disappointment if a large sum is chosen. During the game, the Banker rings the telephone on host Noel Edmonds desk and makes an offer to buy the players own box. Will the player gamble that their box contains a higher amount? Will it be Deal or No Deal? !
This clever electronic hand held game allows a single player to actually 'open' every box by revealing each box's value behind the opening flap.
It's tense, fast and an entertaining variation on the hit TV show. Requires 2 x AA batteries (not included)

A handheld game based on the Channel four daytime show. Despite the fact that the two things that make the show so entertaining (Noel Edmunds dry humour and the reality of the contestant losing or winning a large sum of money) are missing from this it is still an addictive toy that is hard to put down.
You choose your box number first from the 22 available and start to randomly pick numbers. Each time you "open" the red box and it reveals the amount you have just taken out of the game. To the right of the machine there is a list of the possible amounts that are knocked off each time. Having done this five times you get your first offer from the banker. You then press the tick to accept or cross to carry on. Repeat it every three times until you have an offer you like or until you have just two boxes to choose from. Whenever you take up the offer you can always reveal what you always had in your original box.
Plus points:
Like the show you can swap the boxes over when you have just two left.
The buttons that you select your box numbers with our "touch screen" and the numbers dissapear as and when you take them out.
It's so easy to start playing that there is not a long instruction booklet to read before you start.
My wife commented that it fits nicely into her handbag!
Negative points:
There is no high score table on the machine, only a printed one on the packaging which you will probably discard anyway.
There is no feel of "losing" so you always gamble, one thing that nobody does on the real thing
There is no sound, it would of been nice to of got a "beep" when you get a bankers offer. You keep trying to pick boxes without realising you have on offer to accept or refuse.
You don't get any batteries with the machine. Suprisingly considering the machine cost £15.00
The touch screen numbers are a nice idea, but the numbers aren't as vivid as they could be, and fingerprints soon make the machine look dirty.
It could of been better, but overall a nice idea and despite its limitations compared to the show a very addictive toy. I think £10.00 would of been a better price for what you get. I suppose I should of waited for the second hand ones to be sold on Amazon next year!
This game is ok in principle but has many flaws. Having received it for christmas, i enjoyed playing it the first couple of times, even though the boxes are very hard to see, making it impossible to play in a dark lighted area.
However, after this the game gets very repetitive. The block of numbers from 1,000 down to 10,000 always stay in tha game until at least 14 boxes have been opened and a round containing 3,000 followed by 5,000 followed by 10,000 occurs in virtually every game played! This really lets the game down as by the 5 box stage you already know what amount of money you have in your box (generally 15,000 plus whatever is left in your box will b left when down to 2 boxes)
Therefore i was highly disappointed with this product and would definitely not advise people to accept a "deal" to buy this.
Who'd have thought that a last minute toy for a child for x-mas would be so addictive for the entire family, even our four year old daughter can't stop playing it. Yes, it has faults, no sound, no real gain in beating the banker ( no congratulatory noises or flashing lights ) but all this aside, we as a family are hooked. It has even been suggested that it becomes a travelling companion on the plane ! !
As with the other person that reviewed this, I agree that the price was too steep at £15. And that the touch screen idea is good, but that the console soon looks dirty.
