I remember first seeing this film some years ago,and was expecting the usual tv movie.But I found it was actually very well acted and the story keeps you guessing.Don't want to say too much as it will give away the story.But if you like a good true movie,you will like this.

Ignore the reference in the main Amazon review. This is definitely not like anything by David Lynch! However, as the other reviewer mentions, it does have a few twists and turns to keep it moving. Tony Danza has not changed a great deal since his TV days in 'Taxi', and sadly his acting has not improved much either. Despite this, it is entertaining enough, if bought at a low price. Think FIVEUSA afternoon TV movie, add a bit, and you're there.

true crime. not totally like the book, but close

I had read the book before the movie & I really like Heather Tom so then I saw that she was in it I wanted this movie. I don't like Tony Danza playing the father. The father was fat & ugly. To me Tony is "Who's the boss". There are plenty of actors out there that could have played the father. Tony is a good actor but he's not a evil man. But I loved Heather playing Cathy.

Worth watching just for the last scenes!

Tony Danza has always played the likeable dude -- a guy next-door type of character. And for most of Deadly Whispers, that's just what he is. There is some foreshadowing that something is amiss, but I was in total denial all the time!
Without spoilers, I can only say that the pay-off toward the end is fabulous. Tony Danza is really a wonderful actor, capable of so much more than sit-coms! Deadly Whispers is a very good film, not to be missed.

This movie, based on a true story, is excellent. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys true story movies.
