Product Description

She doesn't carry a gun, but then neither does a pit bull.
In this first book in the Sandy Reid Mystery Series, the almost-too-clever young law student in Philadelphia gets a life-or-death call from her estranged brother who just moved to Florida--she tells him to go to hell. She doesn't need this. She's holding an old grudge and resents having her life in Philadelphia interrupted.

The brother doesn't come looking for trouble, he simply wants to get past his Philadelphia divorce and start a new life in Florida, but woman-trouble comes looking for him.  Unfortunately, he arrives in the small Florida ocean side town just as someone murders the local gubernatorial candidate. He doesn't have a clue about women and gets seduced and framed by a 70-year-old femme fatale. He hasn't bothered with his estranged sister up north for years, but now as a stranger in a hostile town, she's his only hope.

She reluctantly decides to at least check out her brother's predicament. This small step leads the audacious sister into an ever-increasing entanglement of deceit, double-cross, and danger, as she can't leave well-enough alone and goes after the real killer in this first of the exciting mystery series.

ONE DEADLY SISTER, the first book in this women sleuths mystery series. Followed by THE PRICE OF CANDY, SUCH WICKED FRIENDS, and CHASING SUSPECT THREE. Watch for the next book in this fast-paced mystery series featuring Sandy Reid, the sassy protagonist and amateur sleuth.

3.0 out of 5 stars enjoyable start 16 May 2011
By Maria TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This being the first in a series it introduces a female para-legal/ law student who decides to help her long estranged brother when he is facing a murder charge. There were some rather confusing characters at the start, & some rather unbelievable situations, but the story then progressed well & no doubt there will be further developments in later books. A good start to a series

4.0 out of 5 stars Not a Bad Read 22 May 2011

Format:Kindle Edition
This was my first Kindle book.
An easy read although a bit cliched and the plot took a fair leap in a couple of places. Even so a good story with a nice twist at the end which I enjoyed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Really very good. 16 July 2011

I wasn't sure about the write-up for this and am always cautious of these reviews (suspecting many are written by the authors), but I have to admit to being very pleasantly surprised by how well written and interesting this was - I will probably buy any others in this series.
