Deadlands is a roleplaying game set in an alternative wild west where monsters and things that go bump in the night compete with the gunslingers and apaches to be the one sending your character off to Boot Hill. Though given the supernatural nature of the game you might just climb back down boot hill and go gunning for the varmint that did you in. This 1996 version has since been upgraded into a variety of separate rulebooks expanding the game but if your on a budget it contains all you need to start playing in the weird west, but it may entail some work adapting the rules if you wish to use it with supplements brought out in line with the later rules.
