He had the perfect life. Now he'll kill to get it back.

A career man, Edwin Murphy has always put more effort into his work than his family. Everything changes for Edwin when his wife files for divorce. On the brink of losing his home, his job and his little girl, Edwin orchestrates an intricate plan to eliminate his wife and regain his former lifestyle.

The police are baffled when bodies begin to appear all over London with no apparent connection between them. Inspector David Morton must think outside the box as he investigates the deadly web of deceit behind the murders.

(Approximately 80,000 words. Not suitable for children due to violent themes.)

4.0 out of 5 stars An intelligent page turner 26 Jun 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
A great first novel, which immerses the reader immediately into a story which races along at a great pace.
With an early resemblance to Strangers On A Train, what unfolds is an intelligent narrative, which contains twists and turns galore, but never becomes over complicated.
I liked it, and have no hesitation in recommending this book. Give it a try it won't disappoint.
Finally, if there is any justice in the world Inspector David Morton will be investigating a few more cases before he retires...!

3.0 out of 5 stars Could have been so much better. 13 Sep 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
The basic story was good. However silly spelling errors (draw instead of drawer which appeared 4 times) and grammatical errors too numerous to mention did mar it somewhat. Some of the plot was a bit far fetched. For example the murder victim went to a disabled toilet round the corner from the bar, but the assassin knew that he had gone into the disabled toilet and he just happened to have a RADAR key (and superglue!) to lock the door after he had killed his victim. Research would have shown that you need a RADAR to OPEN a door, not to lock it, so the victim wouldn't have been able to get in it in the first place unless he of course had a RADAR key!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic and gripping to the very end! 10 May 2012
By Sahara
Format:Kindle Edition
I absolutely loved Dead on Demand! I was a bit hesitant at first about reading it because I'm not a big fan of crime novels and thrillers. But once I started reading it, I just didn't want to stop! Every page was a nail biter and had me yelling "I don't want to stop reading but I really need to go pee!" repeatedly. I highly recommend getting a copy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Murder by mouse!
I loved the plot of this book, I had never heard of Darknet and had to look it up. One of those books that are hard to put down.

2.0 out of 5 stars Rather disappointed
Didn't really enjoy this book. The typos are numerous and so many British/American English confusions.

I'm afraid the plot didn't really hold my interest.

Like other low-star reviewers, I found the grammar and spelling of this book extremely irritating, and added to the far-fetched plot, I struggled to finish it. Read more
