Akhtar and Luke were best friends, but Akhtar is found dying in Luke's arms. The police are convinced of Luke's guilt, and since he was stoned at the time, Luke even give them a convincing denial.
Dead Wrong had me hooked from the start, with Sal Kilkenny, Staincliffe's female PI, taking on an apparently hopeless case, juggling a number of investigations, home and family in this realistically frantic version of life as a private detective.
Sal puts her own life and her family in danger trying to find out who killed Akhtar. Dead Wrong builds to a cracking pace, and a breath-taking finale.
