Book Description

EA and IDW Publishing present Dead Space Salvage! The USG Ishimura, the most famous of the Planetcracker class starships, is flung from orbit around Aegis VII after the disastrous events of Dead Space. It is lost somewhere in deep space, and both the Government and a powerful religious sect called “Unitology” believe it may still hold the Red Marker, an alien artifact that promises great power for either side, and both will stop at nothing to reach it first! This all-new Dead Space graphic novel picks up where the fan-favorite game leaves off!

3.0 out of 5 stars Salvageable, but not memorable. 5 Jan. 2011
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Don't get me wrong, since it's still an highly enjoyable read, but honestly, I found the previous comic FARRR superior. The writing here isn't as sharp and even though the artwork here is far more detailed, I actually missed the more stylized approach seen in the previous comics. The writing misses the Mark ( get it...?! ) quite often, since there's not enough time to develop the characters or even to make them likeable... In the end, the most likely is that you already know what will happen to most of them by the time you pick this, but still, as mentioned early on, highly enjoyable nonetheless; Just don't expect something incredibly revealing or anything like that, storywise. Peace. ;)

2.0 out of 5 stars Dud Space 2 Oct. 2014
By Inspector Gadget VINE VOICE
Format:Paperback
In this “graphic novel” we are presented with an inter-quel story set between Dead Space and Dead Space 2 in which a team of salvage experts find the Ishimura adrift and damaged. It's an Event Horizon set-up as the salvagers enter and find the crew massacred with guts and gore pasted to the walls. The Marker-heads in the team try to make a deal with Earth-Gov, which naturally goes sour as the necromorphs rear their truly ugly heads.

A serviceable story let down by horrible artwork in which you'll barely be able to understand or interpret anything. Dead Space can lend itself to so many different forms of storytelling but this one tries to hard to be different and fails.

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting back story plot development 2 Dec. 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The plot line fits nicely with positioning the 'men in white' who feature towards the end of Dead Space 2. On Kindle Fire HD the graphics are, on the whole, superb, detailed and complement the claustrophic plot line perfectly. Recommended.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not great 26 Jan. 2011
Format:Paperback
Story wise this is good but its very hard to read due to the pictures and art being extremely blurry. It was OK at best. To be honest I'm a little dissapointed. Don't bother unless your a dead space fan like myself and even if you are I still probably wouldn't recommend you to buy this.

3.0 out of 5 stars It's... okay 26 May 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Smashing painted artwork but story and characters are more than a bit limp. Think every space gov corruption story ever and its covered here. With more meritorious course!

4.0 out of 5 stars Very artistic but 20 Feb. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
it's not always easy to make out the pictures, good story but very short, probably worth £2. I'd only recommend it for hard-core dead space fans. like me.
