I love this - I've heard about the benefits of dead sea salt, mud and water because of all the minerals, and so I tried this. Has a wonderful effect on the skin, it's soothing and healing and since I have very dry skin to the point of eczema/psoriasis itching, it has helped that a lot. Go easy on it though, salts will dry your skin, so if you have dry skin, you want to start out slow, with only a little then add more if you can. Some people use the salts as a scrub, but again, if you do that, go carefully at first. You can end up over scrubbing your skin to the point of a slight burn. The salts are GREAT for soothing muscles though, it can be worth a little dry skin if you soak in them after a workout. Really relieves aches and pains. Since I have drier skin, I have to use a really good moisturizer though. I use a great cream that is wonderful on the skin making it softer and smoother Bel Essence All-Natural Anti-Wrinkle Treatment - Intensive Anti Aging, Facial Lift Skin Care Formula - 1.5oz. This is one of the best creams I have found, and I'm amazed that it has natural ingredients. I'm also amazed at how well it works, for a basic skin cream that isn't made for more serious skin conditions, it has helped my skin condition. The two products together completely changed my skin from dry and rough to soft, brighter, healthier. The cream keeps my skin extra hydrated and soft which makes the effects of the salt last longer, and my face is smoother, no little lines and wrinkles. Yea! No more red, dry skin! I'm not embarrassed anymore to go out in short sleeves, or shake hands with someone, and I'm getting a lot of compliments on how good I look.

This is by far my favourite bath addition as it's natural and has properties that make your skin look better and your muscles more relaxed.

I use this 3 times a week and find that throwing in a handful usually does the trick. Its best to add the water first, add the salt and then mix it with your hand to separate and disperse the salt.

The hotter the better in terms of water temperature and I soak in it until the water goes coldish (30-45 mins). It keeps my skin in good condition and I find that it's most effective to use after a bad day in work (these happen far too often) or after a hard session in the gym.

What I wouldn't recommend though is to thrown the salt water over your hair because it makes it terribly dry and unmanageable.

I will be buying a bigger bag next time in order to save a few £££££.

I really think this compliments nicely with a good skin care regimen. It leaves the skin silky and I don't feel as rough afterwards. Bath salts are great and easy on the skin. I have very sensitive skin and usually break out from using other creams and gels. Not so much with this one. I will still get razor burn from time to time but that has more to do with shaving than anything else.

I've taken to using tea tree oil to eliminate razor burn & help hydrate outside of the water. It helps clear my skin right up after a rough shave. It also helps with acne if you have issues with that; Herbal Authority Tea Tree Oil Skin Wash + FREE 100% Australian Tea Tree Oil. Using Nivea as a wash, salts as a soak before and tea tree oil wash after leaves no room for user error. My skin is clear and smells wonderful, plus there's no rash or stubble in sight.

I have very dry skin on my feet and used this in my foot spa and have been really pleased with the results. Also my husband has psoriasis so has used this in the bath. Although you need quite a lot of it it has really help his condition and with regular use I believe it will clear it up better than any medication. I would really reccommend this product.

Having once bathed in the Dead Sea and discovered the amazing effect on the skin of these salts (soft and velvety smooth, no mean achievement since I am nearer 70 than 60), I wanted these salts particularly for my husband, who has psoriasis. I got quite a lot for my money by buying from this source, and his psoriasis did seem to improve.

I have eczema and find that adding a couple of handfuls to my bath water helps calm my sensitive skin. I am in no way saying it has cured my eczema, but it has helped a bit. It makes our London water feel softer and more moisturising, and as a little goes a long way I will be repurchasing.

I bought these after reading reviews that said they help to detoxify you and make your skin softer. However it seems you have to use nearly a whole pack for some applications which would seem very expensive. I used a quarter of a pack in a warm/hot bath and my skin did feel softer and fresher when I got out the bath. I think that if you were to use these regularly it would pay to buy a 10 or 25kg bag as 1.25 a bath makes this size pack a luxury! I will try out the rest of this pack and see if I think shelling out on a big bag will be worth it! I also did look into how to make this salt into the coloured smelling bath salts I have seen on here, at nearly a fiver for 200grams, again it would pay to buy a large sack and buy the colouring gel and essential oils seperately and making your own, which on my costings would be a third of the price of buying them ready made less time of course, but then I think that myself and my daughters would quite enjoy rubbing colourant into the salt and mixing in some essential oils and then putting them into the plastic jars they sell on here too! Would make nice presents too!
