I have used this shampoo for a number of years along with the conditioning serum, as I have excema and psoriasis on my scalp. Was sick of itching, flaking and sometimes weeping scalp, this was recommended to me by a naturopath and having tried all tar based shapoos and medicinal ones I was sceptical to say the least. I noticed an improvement straight away and within two weeks my scalp had completely cleared up!! I now use nothing else. If like I was, you were losing hope PLEASE try this I cannot say enough positive things about this product. A great find and such a relief!

Finally a really good product for scalp psoriasis! I'm so glad I found it (I bought it after reading the reviews on Amazon). It really helped me with the irritated, dry, itchy and flaky skin - they are all gone now. I keep using the shampoo along with the Dead Sea Spa Magik Conditioning Scalp Mud 150ml/5oz as I like the moisturising sensation it leaves on my scalp and also how my hair feels - silky and shinier. If you have scalp psoriasis this is definetely a product worth trying.

I must have spent a small fortune on shampoos that claim to treat oily roots, over the years. I have had to wash my hair every day from the age of 13 to avoid looking like I've just stuck my head in a chip pan. I had just about resigned myself to using a very nice natural shampoo and using dry shampoo one or two days a week just to get by on lazy days. But I saw this and thought it was worth a try. It looks like a thick body lotion and because it's sulphate free it doesn't lather, so I first apply a small amount to my wet hair, dragging it through the lengths. I then apply a slightly larger amount, working it into my roots then through the rest of my hair. I have to rinse very well to make sure it's completely out of my hair and it feels slightly odd, like there's a buildup of product in my hair, but once dry it is gorgeous: shiny, bouncy and soft. It is more drying than other shampoos I've used but that's to be expected so I just follow with a natural conditioner, avoiding my roots and once almost dry apply a leave-in keratin spray most days. I also do a weekly intensive conditioning treatment as I've been doing for quite a while. I now find I can skip a day between shampooing if I want to without feeling my hair is less than clean. I can honestly say this is the best shampoo I've ever used. I am so pleased I found it.

Approx 12 months ago, my scalp became itchy and flaky, so I purchased this to treat it. Within a couple of weeks, my scalp had returned to normal!! I have continued to use this product, along with the conditioning scalp mud, as it leaves my hair feeling lovely and in great condition.

I've started getting a bit of dry skin on my scalp this year, so reluctantly decided to try a dandruff shampoo. I'm fussy about ingredients - I always look for paraben- and SLS-free shampoos, and this looked ok.

Unfortunately I can't comment on how well it works for a flaky scalp, because I could only use it once. I'm sensitive to perfumes, and found the smell overwhelmingly strong. I had a headache within an hour, and even after washing my hair again with a different shampoo, I can still smell it.

I was aware that the shampoo had added fragrance from looking at the ingredients list. This refers to essential oils, and I hoped that it would just be natural oils and not synthetic perfume as well. Also, since this is a therapeutic product, and one which is marketed using the natural ingredient angle, I naively assumed the fragrance wouldn't be as overwhelming as in conventional toiletries. Wrong! I really wish products like this were fragrance-free.

Anyhow, people who don't have a problem with perfumes will probably be fine with it. If - like me - you find them hard to tolerate, you might want to give this a miss.

On the plus side, the shampoo did leave my hair feeling soft. I wish I could continue to use it, rather than having to just throw it (and my money) away.

About a couple of years ago I got my first outbreak of psoriasis. Although my skin eventually cleared up, my scalp didn't. I tried using some prescription stuff my docto gave me, but the psoriasis wasn't responding to the treatment. The dead sea shampoo was recommended by several psoriasis sufferers, so I decided there was no harm in trying it out. Amazingly my psoriasis cleared up within a few weeks and stayed away! Unfortunately my scalp psoriasis has returned, but at least I know I have something reliable to turn to.

More generally as a shampoo, it smells great (in my opinion), but it doesn't lather so well. That may be due to my living in a hard water area though.

I bought this because I have scalp psoriasis and wanted to try random new things to help keep it under control. It didn't work at all. I gave it two stars because it didn't work for me but this does not mean it won't work for others. Give it a go, as all the other reviews here recommend it.
The only thing I hated thought was the smell. I don't agree with fragrance in products made specifically for certain conditions.

I tried this as previous reviews raved about it being a miracle cure.

I have had a dry flaky scalp for a few years now and tried many many products. This wasn't the worst, but it didn't make a difference to my itchy flakes. Too drying for my particular scalp problem (whatever that is), back to the drawing board!
