Book Description

Alessandro Donatelli, the youngest of the Donatelli brood, has a promising career as an architect, but he needs a quiet place to work. He buys the run-down inn at Dead Man's Point from a ninety-year-old woman. She gives him a good price, but part of the deal is that he has to let her live out her life in the inn, the only home she's ever known. He wants the inn, so he accepts the deal. How many more years could a woman that age live?

When the old woman falls and breaks her arm, her great-niece comes to take care of her. Jenna Madison's parents supposedly bought into the inn before they died. Uncle Charlie said the inn would be hers someday, but she can't find a record of her parents' investment. And Al Donatelli claims he owns the inn.

Jenna and Al knew each other in high school, when he was a shy nerd and she was the class slut. One kiss is all it takes to forget the past and fuel their passions, but life at the inn isn't easy. The old woman has plans for the inn, and she doesn't care who gets in her way.

5.0 out of 5 stars A lovely story! 31 Oct. 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
I absolutely loved Al and Jenna!! Long ago wounds, still fresh in their hearts, make these two fight their attraction. But with Al, so much the consummate male, who could hold off her desire for him for long. But theirs in not an easy love affair and both have to put aside their own heart's desires to make things work. Jenna's daughter stole my heart and the closeness of the Donatelli family is truly a joy to read!

5.0 out of 5 stars Dead mans point 28 May 2012

Murder in the background passed off as an accidental fall. The Inn is pivotal to the story plus the three main characters. A young man buys the Inn off an elderly woman, he agrees to her living there as long as she can look after herself. The old woman has a fall and a young female relative comes with her child to care for the old lady. So the story starts with a venomous Old lady who takes her hatred out on the young woman. WHY? The young woman believes she is entitled to the Inn as her parents put money into the property. Then romance invites itself into the story and the plot thickens and builds up to a great ending. Well worth reading.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable 7 May 2012

This book was enjoyable. Jenna and Al are wonderful characters with both strengths and flaws. The Donatelli family is one that most anyone would like to be a part of. My only issue with the book is that there are a lot of places with chunks of narrative/introspection which slows the book down some at times. These "thoughts" could have been delivered better through action and dialogue which the writer does quite well. When in that mode, the suspense and action kept me turning pages quickly. So I wouldn't let that one little flaw keep you from reading this very entertaining book. I understand there are more books in this series so I'll be looking for those.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Inn at Dead Man's Point (Donatelli Series) by Sue Fineman 19 Nov. 2011

Just finished reading The Inn at Dead Man's Point by Sue Fineman. It's the forth and probably the last book of the Sue Fineman, Donatelli Series. I found the whole series wonderful and The Inn at Dead Man's Point was no exception. I loved how the author created a fresh new story driven through familiar settings with old friends around every corner. This is women's fiction at its very best. I recommend the book and the author to you. Five stars.
