Product Description

This is a humorous story about the zombie invasion of Las Vegas.

Many things are lost in Las Vegas: innocence, paychecks, Little Scotty’s college fund. But the worst of all...is humanity. Once a man’s been bitten by lady luck, the hunger becomes infectious, and before he knows it he’ll chew the arm off the guy sitting next to him just to win a hand of poker. Especially if he’s a zombie.

Las Vegas has been overrun by flesh-eating, undead monsters that are now flooding the Strip and obliterating everything in their wake—cars, tourists, and even casinos. First on their path of destruction: the Olympus, Las Vegas’s premiere hotel and casino, which is currently housing a human buffet-line that’s been trapped inside by a poorly thought-out, self-locking alarm.
Amid the chaos of hungry zombies are a handful of survivors not yet food for the slow (but persistent) tourists-turned-undead: a guitar-wielding Elvis impersonator and his nostril-mining son, a feminist stripper, and an alcoholic janitor whose drunken hijinks might just be the only thing keeping him alive. Cornered inside an overflowing casino, the only place for this rag tag crew to go is out, but is there any place safe? Can they evade the soulless Bobby Darin impersonator who’s become unofficial king of the zombies? Have the zombies taken over every last casino in Vegas? Or were they always there to begin with?

Written by the co-authors of the popular web-comic A Beer for the Shower, and the novel The Missing Link.

This book is one of those rare ones that you know you will read again and again.
I love the way Brandon Meyers brings the story along with such suprises around every corner, some of which are so funny and made me laugh so much i started to hurt and others which made me think oh that is horrible but i quickly forgave him when i was the next minute rolling on the floor laughing and hurting again.

Pretty much everything of Brandon and Byran's has been hilarious, but this book is a particular favourite! I'd definitely recommend it if you're after a good story and a good laugh!

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun! 12 May 2014

Really enjoyed this book, didn't take very long to read as not heavily involving but the story and characters are fun. The basic premise (not giving away spoilers) is that a zombie type virus hits the world (we are led to believe) but the whole book just focuses on a few characters and mostly just around one ficticious casino in Vegas.

It doesn't take itself too seriously and the author does make his lead characters very likeable.

Would buy the sequel if one exists (haven't checked yet!) as I think there could be more plot available.

Witty and amusing zombie book. A bit different from your run of the mill zombie tale but worth a read by fans of the undead.

2.0 out of 5 stars Needs to be buried in Vegas 5 Nov 2013

I love my Kindle, it has rekindled my love of reading and every spare minute I am now reading something. At the beginning of the year I set myself the target of trying to go the whole year reading only "free" books to expose me to a wider range of writing. I say this as on the whole I have really been surprised by the general quality and inventiveness of the authors. There has been the odd disappointment and I am afraid this is another. I found myself 42% into the book suddenly asking what on earth I was doing reading it? The Zombie genre is a well trodden path with authors struggling to find new angles but this one is really the same as the rest just set inside a casino. I am not sure what it trying to be. It generates no fear in the reader, the zombies really carry no menace, there is no empathy with the characters and in trying to inject humor it has failed miserably. It is simple about several groups of people within a casino wandering around trying to find a way out and, like the book, they just seem to be going round in circles. Did I make it to 43%, no.
