I've read all 4 of his books over the years and I'll admit to thoroughly enjoying all of them. While some of his methods may not stand up to scientific scrutiny, the books are exciting and educating at the same time. The man ,(who's life is quite mysterious in itself), spins his tales of discovery and adventure in Ethiopia;a bit graphically at times. It's hard to tell what is truth and what is exaggerated and in the long run it really doesn't matter. The books are fun to read and it's hard not to believe they might have had a little to do with the creation of the "Indiana Jones" character.
